Tony Parker and France have an opportunity to go a perfect 4-0 in the first round of Eurobasket against Italy tomorrow.
While Italy’s 1-2 record may not look very impressive, they do boast a roster made up of three NBA players, including Raptors’ Andrea Bargnani and Nuggets’ Danilo Gallinari.
But as was evidenced by yesterday’s game against Germany, San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker and France won’t shy away from a challenge.
Parker finished with 32 points and six assists, getting the better of Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki.
Parker’s ability to score inside and outside throughout the tournament along with finding shooters on the perimeter has proven to be an unstoppable combination. France’s collapsing defense has frustrated shooters on the defensive end with Bulls’ Joakim Noah giving them the edge on the boards.
Parker is averaging a Eurobasket-leading 28 points per game, going into tomorrow’s game.
