The Brewers took a 4-3 lead into the top of the ninth…and sent out a former Dodger to close out the game.
Only this time, it wasn’t Eric Gagne, but Guillermo Mota. And, this time, Mota blew the save, allowing three runs and giving the second game to L.A., 6-4.
Manny Parra pitched his best game of the season–allowing just one ER in 6 2/3 IP. Parra even drove in the first two runs of the game, collecting one of just six Brewers’ hits on the night.
But a Prince Fielder error led to two more runs, both unearned, and Mota allowed two hits and a walk, leading to the three Dodger runs in the ninth.
