The reason Pashnin didn’t join the #NYR (per his agent) is he “didn’t want a two-way contract… he wouldn’t grow in the farm club.”
Pashnin recently spurned the Rangers to sign a two-year deal with the KHL’s CSKA Moscow team.
…apparently this guy doesn’t understand that a spot is not guaranteed in the NHL. He may be a stud in the KHL, but they are a long way away from the talent level in the NHL. With the defensive talent the Rangers have Pashnin will not be missed.
…and what is he talking about not growing in the AHL? Did he not see what happened with McD and Sauer last year?
…hope Rangers don’t look to sign him when his KHL contract is over in two years.
