This just in from Adam Schefter of ESPN.com the Patriots have traded Chandler Jones to the Arizona Cardinals. In return the Patriots got a second round draft pick and guard Jonathan Cooper
I think this is a very good trade for the Patriots as Chandler Jones was basically invisible late last season and in the playoffs. Also that whole synthetic weed drama left a bad taste in the Patriots mouth. I think this was an easy trade for the Patriots. I will miss him he had his moments where he was great, but it was time to move on, one strip sack a year was not going to cut it.
Jonathan Cooper was a top 10 pick out of North Carolina in the 2013 draft and will be a great add on to the Patriots. I see a lot of potential in this type of player and with a coach like Bill Belichick anything is possible. As to the second round draft pick I feel the Patriots will trade this pick and their second round to move up in the draft, remember the Patriots do not have a first round pick because of Deflategate.
