Patriots Training Camp Day 7: A Light Practice As Brady Turns 40

Patriots took the field again on Tom Brady’s 40th birthday and it was a very bizarre practice as starters really did not do anything. It was a very slow day as starters went to the lower field for work while others did 11-on-11.

It was basically a day off for Brady as there is a change he did not even break a sweat he ran light drills on the side field and did not take any snaps in 11-on-11’s.

Players absent from practice were  Nate Solder, Matthew Slater, and Cody Hollister. Mike Gillislee, Chris Hogan, Duron Harmon, Malcolm Mitchell, James O’Shaughnessy, David Jones were all at practice but did not participate.

In 11-on-11’s Garoppolo went 6-14 with an interception, well Brissett went 6-9 with an interception.

Brady seemed to be in a good mood as fans sang happy birthday to him and he signed autographs for about 5 minutes after practice before jogging off.

It was one of the shortest practices of camp so far as it was a good day of rest after a very hard practice yesterday. The Patriots will practice tomorrow at 9:15 am.

On a side note, the Patriots went all out for Tom Brady’s birthday today as they had real goats and big cards fans could sign.
