Pats Visit Western New York In “Revenge Game”

Euro2012

The only loss for the New England Patriots this year came in Week 4 against Buffalo, as it wasn’t the prettiest sight to behold, but with key changes now in Week 8, looks like the Bills have to watch themselves.

We all know about the pregame scuffle between the Bills and Pats, which could be a driving motivator for either team, but the main objective is to win. Brady has been lights out through the last 3 weeks, as he looks to capitalize on a familiar division foe. With arguably the best quarterback in football at the helm, relying on running back LeGarrette Blount is safe to say that you will get the most out of every play. With 8 touchdowns credited to his name, Blount has been a driving force (literally) through the first half of the season and hopefully carrying the powerback mentality to the playoffs when the time comes.

The wide receiver position has been looming questions for the Patriots with Edelman and Hogan both sustaining injuries which can prevent elite production. Recovering the right way and getting back into the swing of things is what they need to do in order to get the passing game back to where it needs to be.

On the defensive side, cracking down on potential big plays has been an issue for the defense in Foxboro. What looks to be like 3 yard screen passes eventually lead to 20 yard pickups thus giving problems with field position and scoring for opponents. The secondary has been efficient in tackles and playing against the run while the pass still gives issues in the secondary all the way down to the front 7.

Key things to look for in Buffalo is how the running back issue is progressing in injuries, as the Pats could pressure Tyrod Taylor to work the deep throws and try to make big plays.

Things look hopeful for New England, as they hope to return the favor in Buffalo by handing them a loss to hopefully have start dropping them in the division, but the Dolphins and Jets are both on the tanking slide, so it could be a trifecta of losing in the AFC East with the Patriots once again standing tall in the division.
