Remember the old "Late Night" bit where whenever David Letterman needed a guest, he'd bust out Marv Albert or another one of the guests from the proverbial talk show guest Rolodex? I'm starting to feel that's how the Los Angeles Dodgers are conducting business.
Seriously. It almost seems like the team is constantly trotting out current or former members of the Los Angeles Lakers. Monday night, it was Pau Gasol's turn and by the looks of it, he was asked to throw out the first pitch just minutes before gametime.
And if you skip ahead two minutes into the clip…the two-time NBA champ really dug deep into the closet to pick out some clothes.
Yup. That's a guy who stands to make close to $20 million next season showing up to Chavez Ravine in sweats. By comparison, I make a tiny fraction of a tiny fraction of what Gasol is owed and I don't leave my house in sweats.
That said, if I was making anything near what Gasol makes, I probably would go through life unshaven and in sweats.
