So the trade deadline has come and gone with very little fanfare.
One team that was a little busy was the Chicago White Sox. Sure, the team parted with All-Star Jesse Crain, but they also were able to unload pitcher Jake Peavy and his $14 million salary. But prior to deals going down, Paul Konerko was asked if the trade talks had been affected the team's play.
Konerko has struggled at the plate this year, hitting .247 with a mere seven home runs…but it's not like his "Pale Hose" are doing any better. If not for the recent addition of the Houston Astros to the American League, the Sox would be at the bottom of plenty statistical categories.
Yuck.
