This Friday, former world champion Paulie Ayala is bringing more professional boxing to the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex which will be part of his Friday Night Fight Series at the Cendera Center in Fort Worth, Texas, and what a night it is going to be. It is fitting that the main event will be none other than Super Middleweight Samuel “The Main Event” Clarkson (6-0, 5 KO’s) who will be putting his undefeated record on the line. He will be going against the hard punching Don Mouton (11-4-1, 9KO) who is recently coming off a knockout win over the hard headed Jesse “the Dallas Kid” Lara (16-3,10KO’s) back in August. Mouton landed everything but the kitchen sink at Lara and he finally took him out in the fifth round. But Mouton will be up against a much faster and younger fighter in Clarkson. They both have great knockout records and it is obvious that somebody is going to get knocked out! But before that happens, fight fans will get to see a lot more action in the scheduled eight round match. In Clarkson’ last fight he showed he not only has punching power in both hands, but he can take a punch too. In his last fight he got stunned in the first round with a big punch but he fought back and returned the favor with a big knockout of his opponent in the second round. Mouton is in for an all out war come Friday night, so don’t blink when you watch the “The Main Event.”
Also on the card will be none other than “Mighty Moe” Maurice Hooker (5-0-1, 4KO) from the renowned Maple Avenue Boxing Gym in Dallas, Texas. Mighty Moe will be taking on Roland Campos (6-4, 2KO). This is another fight that you don’t want to miss, because it is guaranteed to be an all out punching match. Mighty Moe is stepping into the ring with five wins in a row and the last two by knockout. Watch him use his stiff jab which is always followed by a straight right hand, which usually ends up with lights out for his opponents. He looks like the reincarnation of the great Tommy “The Hitman” Hearns, former world champion out of the famous Kronk Gym.
The co-main event will be Manuel “The Punisher” Rojas (5-0, 2KO), who will be protecting his undefeated record against the tough Pedro Torres (6-4-2, 5KO). Look to see fan favorite Rojas to work on Torres in every minute of this four round match.
Next on the lineup is up and coming welterweight John Vera (2-0, 2KO) of Fort Worth, Texas. His opponent will be Amos Davis (1-0), and it is scheduled for four rounds.
In another four round match, Oscar Mojica in his pro debut, will be taking on Richard Hernandez (0-4). Hernandez will have his hands full, but never count out a fighter when he steps into the ring, all it takes is one punch.
Also schedule are two fighters who will be entering the ring for the first time. Oscar Armendariz will be taking on Ladez Jones, so get ready for anything to happen in this scheduled four round match.
In addition, Tony Lopez from Fort Worth will be making his pro debut against Quinice Wesby (1-2), in a four round match.
Finally, get ready for an all out slugfest because word is, MMA fighter Will Campuzano (0-1) is going to give it his all against Evilio Perez’ pro debut on Friday night. Campuzano is taking a break from the MMA to enter the boxing ring while he waits for a title shot in the cage. This should be another exciting match to watch on Friday night as you will get to see a boxer against a grappler/boxer. It is scheduled for four rounds.
Doors open at 6:00 and the first fight is at 7:30.
