A couple of UConn football players will be making a trip to Hawaii in January as seniors Tyvon Branch and Donald Thomas were selected to participate in the Hula Bowl. The game will take place on January 12th at 6 PM at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.
The event is a showcase of the top seniors in college football across the country and gives the NFL scouts a closer look at the seniors who will be in the draft.
The various media outlets in the state are reporting that head coach Randy Edsall has reinstated Lou Allen to the team. Allen will assume his old role as the third-string running back behind All-Big East second team running back Andre Dixon and Donald Brown. He will also be playing on special teams in the bowl game as well.
Still no word on whether or not UConn has sold it’s allotment of Meineke Car Care Bowl tickets. If you are interested in heading to the game and need tickets, head over to UConnBowl.com to buy them. It will ensure that you sit with other UConn fans.
