It’s game day once again for the UConn Huskies women’s basketball team as they are coming off a 109-51 drubbing of the Washington Huskies in their first game of the Caribbean Classic in Cancun. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 PM and the game will be broadcast locally here in Connecticut on CPTV.

It could get ugly again tonight for the Huskies as Northern Colorado lost by 43 points to Florida State last night.

Florida State has agreed to a 2-year series that will start with the UConn women’s team next year in Tallahassee.

Former Husky Mel Thomas’ book was a hit with fans during stops in Enfield and Waterford yesterday. She is scheduled to be in East Haven, CT tonight but it remains unclear if she’ll cancel due to the impending snow storm here in Connecticut. If it’s not cancelled, I will most likely be in attendance and have pictures for you in the morning.

Heather Buck is ready to take advantage of being a medical redshirt.
