Paw Prints – The Daily Roundup – 3/28

After a closed practice Friday, members of the UConn men's basketball team spoke to the media, along with head coach Jim Calhoun. UConn beat Purdue Thursday to advance to the NCAA Elite Eight Saturday - Richard Messina/Hartford Courant

My apologies for this getting up a little late today. I woke up at around 2:30 AM in extreme pain. After laying around for a bit, the pain subsided a bit so I went back to bed at about 4:30 AM. Within minutes of being back in bed, the pain came back worse than it was before so I headed off to New Britain General Hospital. After undergoing some tests, it turns out the pain I have was from kidney stones. So I’ll be resting comfortably numb all day I hope and drinking lots of fluids to get rid of them. But enough about me already.

It’s game day for the UConn Huskies men’s basketball team as they are in Glendale, AZ for the finals of the West Regional where they will take on Missouri Tigers for the right to go to the Final Four in Motown next weekend. The tip is scheduled for around 4:40 and the game can be seen on CBS or CBS online. And for those in Connecticut, you can always catch on WTIC 1080 AM on your radio dial. Due to NCAA regulations, WTIC isn’t able to stream the game online.
