Ben Sheets allowed just one hit through the first six innings Thursday afternoon, but tired and proceeded to give up four hits and three earned runs in the bottom of the 7th before getting pulled. Padres’ starter Jake Peavy outdueled Sheets, and the Crew only mustered a lone run in their half of the inning, as the Crew took a 3-1 deficit into the 8th…only a lone Mike Cameron homer in the 9th followed, and the Brewers snapped their 8-game win streak, 3-2. Milwaukee now sits at 70-52 on the year, 4½ back of the Cubs.
On to L.A. for three games against the Dodgers!
