As the news broke of George Steinbrenner’s passing today, it is not only a sad day for Yankees fans, but also a sad day for anyone who is a fan of the game of baseball. And it is fitting that George would go out on the day of the All Star Game…a day that the best of both leagues come together to celebrate the game. God speed George. He not only changed the Yankees and brought them countless titles, he changed the face of baseball.
