Dustin Pedroia was helped off of the field after he fell rounding second in last night’s game. Red Sox fans quickly thought it was going to be a repeat of last year when he missed most of the season but his new injury appears to be minor. Terry Francona said that Pedey had simply rolled his ankle and that it was not serious. It is likely that Pedroia will only miss a few games and will avoid the DL.
