Dustin Pedroia’s comments about his home town have led a man to threaten to kill members of his family:
On Friday at about 12:29 p.m., Sgt. Health Parson said Woodland Police responded to Valley Tire Center, located at 179 W. Main St., for a threats report.
When the officer arrived, they spoke with the caller and one of the victims in the case.
It was determined that a suspect, identified as 47-year-old Woodland resident Kenneth Samuels, had telephoned the business and made specific death threats to male members of the Pedroia family.
The suspect made multiple phone calls stating that the Pedroia males would be shot and killed.
The suspect is thankfully now in jail.
What was once a small story has suddenly ballooned into a major issue for the Red Sox second baseman. When the team heads to Oakland after tomorrow’s game Pedroia is sure to be confronted by the local press that will be more interested in the story.
The A-Hole who put up the banner in the picture above was not satisfied with Pedoia’s explanation of the story and said the following:
“We’re going to need a public apology before the banner comes down,” Bachman said.
I’m sure Pedroia has nothing better to do than give a public apology to some jerkoff with a banner that says he sucks in front of his store. With guys like that in the town I can see why someone might consider it a dump.
