The New York Rangers (14-11-1) lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins (16-9-2) by the score of 2-1 in a shootout, tonight. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports and newyorkrangers.com.

…you have to start to wonder why can’t this team win on home ice as they fall to 5-7-1 at MSG. Are they gripping their sticks too tight in front of the home crowd? Not sure what it is but if they want to make the playoffs they need to turn this around.

…the slew foot on Callahan is just another reason to hate Crosby. It just baffles me that he does stuff like that. He is arguably the best player in the game and he just doesn’t need to do it. Very disappointing. And somehow Callahan gets a penalty?!?!?!

…man the Rangers need to work on their power play. Two big opportunities to get back into the game wasted.

…can Del Zotto hit the net once please?

…maybe Gaborik should play with the flu more often.

…Avery continued his strong play of late with a real pestering game.

…Rangers had no answers to the Penguins long passes in the second period. Not a good job by the staff coming up with adjustments.

…third consecutive solid game from Hank as that game could have been a lot worse.

…once this team gets healthy, Frolov has to be the odd man out.

…the only good thing from Dubinsky tonight was his first period intermission interview when he called Crosby dirty.

…much needed break the next two days then back-to-back against the Islanders.
