Penguins 4, Rangers 1

Bradley Yeezy

The New York Rangers (29-12-4) lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins (25-17-4) by the score of 4-1, tonight. For a boxscore and recap go to Yahoo! Sports.

…so I guess we can now officially say this team is in an offensive slump. Big guns on this team need to take look in the mirror, because Hank can stand on his head all he wants but if the Rangers can’t score they’re not going to win. A little too inconsistent for me lately, but far from panicking.

…i refuse to believe this team practices its power play. And if they are, they probably shouldn’t admit it.

…tough third period for Staal who obviously isn’t back to being the All Star defenseman we all know and love just yet.

…boy Stepan is going to get a workout centering a line with Hagelin and Gaborik.

…was Del Zotto actually trying to defend Malkin’s first goal or just diving out of the way? Atrocious defense.

…Richards is now pointless in the six games since being dumped by Olivia Munn. Maybe Rangers fans should scrounge up a collection to buy the guy a hooker.

…speaking of pointless streaks, AA hits unlucky game number 13.

…assuming Dolan wasn’t talking Stanley Cup after this one.

…i can’t tell you how much I despise Callahan on a line with Boyle and Fedotenko. Talk about wasting a player.

…great fight by Bickel to infuse some energy into the Rangers. Which was rewarded by a whole five minutes of ice time by Torts.

…might be time to give Wolski a real look to see if he can help this team offensively.

…not going to get any easier as the Rangers visit the defending Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins Saturday afternoon.
