On Saturday thousands of Penn State fans will make the spring pilgrimage to Beaver Stadium for the annual Blue White Game. For some this is a chance to soak in the Beaver Stadium experience, even if it is massively scaled down from this. For those unable or unwilling to make the trip they will be able to get their Blue White Game fix by watching on television.
This year’s Blue White Game will be broadcast by Big Ten Network at 2 p.m. Eastern. In addition to the regular television broadcast, which will feature former running back great Ki-Jana Carter as an analyst, Big Ten Network will make the game available on their digital outlets, BTN2GO and The Big Ten Digital Network, where available. Whether you choose to watch the game alone or with a few friends, alums and family, it appears you will be able to get your spring football fix.
Around the country Penn State fans will gather together to watch the game. We know of two separate viewing parties taking place, thanks to Facebook. Here are some of the details if you are a Penn Stater in Chicago or out in California:
Blue White Game Party at ROCKS Lincoln Park
Chicago, Illinois
ROCKS Lincoln Park will host a viewing party from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. (Central Time). Part of the festivities will include a 50/50 raffle, free raffle prizes and a live stream of the game. Iron City specials and a special, Philly-inspired John Cappelletti sandwich will be on the menu. This event is being organized by Penn State Chicago.
PSU Blue-White Game TV Party
Buffalo Wild Wings, Irvine, California
If the spring game manages to drag on for unknown reasons, this may be the first clue to check out. The Orange County California Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association is organizing a watch party at Buffalo Wild Wings in Irvine, California. The party starts at 11 a.m. PT and goes until 2 p.m.
Know of another viewing party for the game around the country? Let us know so we can add the details here.
