Penn State Lands Sutherland

Penn State is now on a hot streak as the Nittany Lions picked up one of their biggest commits in the 2017 class to date.

The commit is 4 star safety Jonathan Sutherland of Espiscopal high school in Alexandria, Virginia. Sutherland is actually a native of Ottowa, Canada and trains there in the off season.

Sutherland announced his pledge via Twitter earlier this afternoon.

Coach James Franklin is yet to tweet his famous We Are.. Better tweet, but I do expect it to come soon.

Jonathan Sutherland comes in at 6’0 and 195 pounds and held offers from Maryland, Miami(FL), Rutgers, Pitt, Wisconsin, Nebraska, North Carolina, and Virginia, amongst others.

Sutherland is the 10th commit in Penn State’s 2017 class and bumps the class rank from 37th to 30th according to the 247 Sports rankings.
