When the season starts, recruiting often gets over looked. Here’s a little update on Penn State’s recruiting situation.
2016
This class is ranked #4 in the nation and has 20 recruits with only 5 spots remaining. Guys most notably to take those spots are 4 star WR Tre Nixon, who is favoring PSU and Georgia. 3 star DB Khaleke Hudson who is between Penn State, Pitt, and WVU. 4 star linebacker Brendan Ferns is between Penn State and WVU. The final candidate would be Damar Hamlin, who is all over the place and doesn’t seem close to a decision.
Guys who might flip include Lavert Hill who I ultimately believe will flip to Michigan before December. Pitt fans will say that Miles Sanders is flipping but I don’t believe that.
2017
The only recruit in this class is 4 star QB Sean Clifford. There are plenty of guys to keep an eye on. They include 5 star DE Josh Kaindoh who is favoring Penn State. 4 star OT Robert Hainsey, and 4 star DT Cam Spence, all three of these guys are teammates at IMG. Local guys include 4 star LB David Adams and WR Mark Webb. This class will not fill all 25 spots, because it would put too many on the roster so expect to only see 15-20 in this class.
