Penn State Versus UCF in Ireland is Becoming a Possibility

In the 2012 season, we had a game played in Ireland between Notre Dame and Navy but now there could another one coming on the horizon this time in the 2014 season between the Penn State Nittany Lions and the UCF Knights. This kind of game can definitely help each school recruiting wise as Penn State is still serving that postseason ban.

As Penn State head coach Bill O’Brien puts it, this game is close to happening in the 2014 season. The real kicker in this deal is that according to The Orlando Sentinel, they reported that UCF admins recently took a four day trip to Ireland to take a look at possibly playing Penn State in the future.

If both teams can settle on this 2014 date then it would be the second game of the home and home series that begins this upcoming season on September 14th at 6:00 pm as UCF travels to State College to take on the Nittany Lions. That game can be seen on the Big Ten Network. If this game happens, then it would be played at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland. Croke Park has a seating capacity of 82, 300 and is home to Gaelic games. Hopefully, this game happens and if it does an announcement will be made as early as next month.
