Kendrick Perkins is a 50-50 shot to play in Game 5 on Sunday.
"When I first saw it, I didn't like what I saw," Rivers said. "Obviously the injury he had last night could be significant, and we don't know the results yet. But that's clearly not looking great right now."
Losing Perk hurts… there's no doubt. But maybe this is a good thing? Maybe letting some of the bench guys get a little more run means this thing is less likely to go 6. Maybe more run for Leon Powe and E-House means more energy from a tired, banged up group of guys. I mean… its fun for us fans to pretend this series is over… but its not.
The Lakers are ready to die. I'm SURE most of those guys would much rather lose at home than fly across county to lose in Boston. I can be sure about that because I'm SURE most of those guys are soft and they think like that. A little energy and an early run might be all it takes for them to roll over and die.
Here's a transcript and video of Doc's news conference from today. Here's Phil's.
By the way… if you missed any of the game, you can watch it again on ESPN Classic tomorrow night at 8pm.
