The Celtics will not have Kendrick Perkins for tonight's game against the Lakers. Perk told the Globe's Gary Dzen that he's hurting pretty bad.
"If somebody bumped me right now, there's a lot of pain in there," said Perkins. "So I knew I couldn't go tonight. I felt that yesterday. But hopefully we can close it out."
Taking Perks' place in the starting lineup: Leon Powe. With all due respect to Perkins, I don't expect his absence to be a major problem, especially with the success Doc Rivers has had with small lineups in this series.
The officials for tonight's game: Dick Bavetta, Ken Mauer and Scott Foster. With the recent Donaghy allegations and word the FBI has been asking questions about Bavetta, I'm expecting Dicky to ref a clean game. In other words: Kobe won't get all the calls.
