2)Very much for real. It has been trendy in some parts of the blogosphere – you know who you are — to consider the Jaguars one of the luckiest teams in the NFL this season.
In one sense, there’s some truth to that. The Jaguars, after all, beat the Colts on a 59-yard, last-play field goal in Week 4 and beat the Houston Texans on a 50-yard, last-play Hail Mary several weeks later. Jacksonville also looked less than impressive at times in the first half of the season, losing four games by 22 or more points.
But while that’s true, good fortune has been less of a factor during the Jaguars’ stretch of five victories in six games to take a one-game lead over the Colts in the AFC South.
Good fortune has been VERY much part of the Jags’ win streak.
