Pete Rose is Selling Shoes Now?

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Pete Rose doing commercials and if a quick search of YouTube and this latest spot from Skechers are any indication, we’ve been robbed of some gems.

Now, I’m not going to lie, I’m not even sure who Skechers is trying to sell shoes to (nurses…children?), so I can’t comment on whether or not securing Rose as a pitchman is a good best idea. But I do know this…as baseball’s hit king is angling for reinstatement (and, ultimately, his rightful place in baseball’s Hall of Fame), it might not be in his best interest to star in commercials making light of him not being able to “catch a break”.
