Manning was more serious when asked about former Colts RB Edgerrin James — entering his 11th season — signing with the Seattle Seahawks.
“I was happy to see that,” Manning said, adding he had been communicating with James via text messaging. “He’s a big texter. He told me he wanted to wait and see the right situation. He said this may be it. I was happy to see he got signed.”
