Great story about why DFree went to the locker room

Switching gears to something I found amusing, I asked DE Dwight Freeney if he realized the stir he caused with his early and temporary departure to the locker room at the end of the first question.

“No,” he said.

I told him about how it blew up on Twitter. Then people on the chat started asking. I had correctly surmised it was a potty break.

“Had to use the bathroom,” he said, amused. “That is hilarious.”

As we were reminded Sunday, if a player heads to the locker room without a trainer, it’s either for the bathroom or an equipment fix.

“I’m good,” Freeney said. “I just had to use the bathroom.”
