Phil B Wilson has a great blog entry today
Not everybody in the NFL is a star. Coe certainly is not. And when he hurt his groin in preseason, I didn’t know how serious it was. But on Monday, there was Coe’s name on a short list as injured waived.
Wishing him well just doesn’t seem to sum this one up. He worked so hard, so many hours, to get back. Lots of guys do, I know.
I guess every now and then, somebody reminds me that these football players are human. And while someone may think I’m a heartless hack at times, the day I lose my compassion for people, well, that’s the day I need to stop writing.
