The special teams failed this team once again. Adam Vinatieri was a Hall of Famer, no doubt, and I will always say as much. His 50-yard FG in the final minute should have won this game. Mr. Clutch rules. But beyond that, there is simply no way to excuse a team losing in the postseason again after a breakdown on special teams. Last year at Super Bowl XLIV, it was Hank Baskett. This year, it’s the KO coverage team allowing Antonio Cromartie to return the last-minute kickoff 47 yards. Inexcusable.
