* Don’t know why WR Anthony Gonzalez, RB Donald Brown, CB Jerraud Powers and CB Kelvin Hayden are missing practice after they worked up a sweat at OTAs. One minute, I’m excited to see Gonzo on the field, thinking it shows how he’s back from his knee injury. The next minute, he’s taking a break. Colts aren’t commenting on injuries. At least S Bob Sanders is still out there running around.
* Don’t be surprised if rookie TE Brody Eldridge turns out to be more of a pass catcher than just a blocker. We all thought, based on his 13 career catches at Oklahoma, he was just a blocker. But the fifth-round pick has shown some hands and athleticism to go with the physical 6-5, 265-pound frame.
