Phil B’s notes

Nice classic blog style post by Phil B Wilson.

* I’ve been asked a couple times in the last few days if the Colts might cut Tony Ugoh to save some money. I suppose it’s always possible, but I don’t expect it. Charlie Johnson is still coming back from an injury at LT, and if he would have a problem, the Colts would want to turn to Ugoh again. For all his inconsistency, it’s not like the guy is a turnstile all the time. There are times when it looks as if he can be the player they expect, but then he has lapses that leave us scratching our heads. I suspect the Colts will want to see if the guy can somehow improve as this season goes along. Maybe it will click at some point. For what they have already invested, and considering the alternatives this late in preseason aren’t plentiful, you probably stick with Ugoh and hope he delivers in some capacity when needed.

Ugoh’s base salary is 530K this year.  Seriously people.  Learn to do math.
