Phil Steele ranks Badgers 20th, puts 13 players on All-Big Ten list

Phil Steele is straight up gangsta when it comes to college football. Women hate him because their men want to be him – sitting in front of countless TV screens watching every college football game all Saturday long. I mean, what's not to love about that?

Of course, it also doesn't hurt that they guy happens to be one of the best prognosticators out there either. So, as we all countdown to June 18th and the release of his annual magazine we have his equally awesome and information laced website to gawk over. Well, earlier today he released the All-Big Ten team and his No.'s 20 and 19 on his Top 40 countdown – Wisconsin came in 20th

They are the 5th Big Ten team to come in on the list and Phil ranks the Badgers higher than Penn State (34), Northwestern (32), Michigan (24), and Michigan State (23).

On the All-Big Ten front the Badgers fare pretty well, putting 13 players on the four teams in total. Three players make the 1st team All-Big Ten list (tied with Nebraska and Northwestern for 3rd most 1st team selections) and those players are wide receiver Jared Abbrederis, tight end Jacob Pedersen, and linebacker Chris Borland

Making up the 2nd team contingent for the UW are running back Melvin Gordon, guard Kyle Costigan, tackle Rob Havenstein, and defensive tackle Beau Allen. On the 3rd team are running back James White, tackle Ryan Groy, safety Dezmend Southward, and punter Drew Meyer. Finally, on the 4th team are defensive end Ethan Hemer and linebacker Ethan Armstrong.
