In some breaking news this morning, the Philadelphia 76ers have not renewed the contract of big man Dewayne Dedmon, this has been reported by Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Dedmon in his short time with the Philadelphia 76ers was playing well for the young team. In his last 10 games, Dedmon was averaging 3.7 points and 4.2 rebounds in 13.6 minutes per game.
Dedmon last played on February 1st against the Detroit Pistons. The Sixers would go on to lose that game 113-96 but Dedmon played well scoring seven points and grabbing seven rebounds in 19 minutes of game action.
It is very shocking that they did not resign the big man unless Arnett Moultrie is coming back. But in a related Sixers move, they have recalled point guard Lorenzo Brown from the Delaware Sevens.

Brown has been up and down with the Sixers all season so this is not surprising. It will be interesting to see what Hinkie has up his sleeve with the NBA trade deadline looming.
