Eagles Weekly Recap: Week 12, Agholor’s role, Roster moves, and more

Buffalo Bills v Philadelphia Eagles

Welcome to this week’s edition of the Eagles Weekly Recap. The Eagles have been making preparations to help salvage their 2016 season as they head into a tough match-up tomorrow night. Let’s get into it:

  • Tomorrow night, the Eagles will host quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. The Packers are having a less-than-impressive season at 4-6, and the Eagles are looking to take advantage of Green Bay’s skid to secure their sixth win of the season.

  • Earlier this week, the Eagles made a couple roster moves, first releasing cornerback Aaron Grymes before signing him to the practice squad, and signing receiver Paul Turner to the active roster.

  • Speaking of Turner, head coach Doug Pederson said in his weekly press conference that the addition of Turner will play a part in the reduction of receiver Nelson Agholor’s role. Agholor has largely struggled this season, including two costly mishaps in last week’s loss with one wiping away an Eagles touchdown and the other coming in the form of a wide-open drop. Coach Pederson did not give any details on Agholor’s long-term status.

  • On the injury front, running back Ryan Mathews (knee), and offensive tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai (knee) will be out for tomorrow night’s game against the Packers.

That’s it for this week. Stay tuned with Total Sports Live for the latest involving the Philadelphia Eagles.
