Philadelphia Phillies activate Darin Ruf off of the DL

<![CDATA[The Phillies struggles in the outfield especially in left field have been well documented this season. With Dominic Brown and Ben Revere struggling in the outfield, Phillies fans are looking for answers. That answer could very well be in Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

According to Matt Leon of KYW Newsradio, the Phillies have activated Darin Ruf from the DL and optioned him to Lehigh Valley.

Ruf has yet to play in a major league game this season as he suffered an oblique injury in Spring Training. So far in his rehab assignment, he has played three games in Single-A Clearwater and three games in Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Right now with Lehigh Valley, Ruf has a .200 batting average with 1 RBI and 1 stolen base.

The Phillies are now starting to get back a lot of players who were injured during Spring Training. If Ruf can perform how he did last season where he hit 14 home runs, we might just see a platoon in left field this season.
