Today, the Philadelphia Soul are looking to rebound after their two point loss to the Cleveland Gladiators last week 54-52. The Soul, who are 5-5 on the season will be taking on the San Antonio Talons who are 1-9 at 5:00 pm ET on ESPNEWS.

For the Soul, this is a must win as they are currently 5-5 sitting in last place in the tough American conference East division. On the other hand, the San Antonio Talons are coming into today’s game on a four game losing streak. The Soul cannot take this game lightly as the Talons will be looking to come in hungry for a victory at the Wells Fargo Center.

At the quarterback position, the Soul are led by Dan Raudabaugh. Raudabaugh through 10 games this season has thrown for 2,452 passing yards, 51 touchdowns and only 8 interceptions. If he is Batman, then his Robin is running back Derrick Ross. Ross, who is the AFL’s all time leading rusher is a big part in the Soul’s offense. So far this season, Ross has 18 rushing touchdowns.

On the receiving end of Raudabaugh’s passes are Ryan McDaniel and Anthony Jones. McDaniel has 69 catches for 906 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns while Jones follows him up with 61 catches for 823 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns.

For the Talons, even though this season has not been a successful one so far, they still have playmakers. At the helm for the Talons is quarterback Shane Boyd. Boyd is a mobile quarterback but has his problems. Last week versus the Portland Thunder, Boyd threw for 293 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions.

Coming into this week’s game he might get his number one target back in receiver PJ Berry. Berry, who did not play last week is the Talons’ ultimate weapon on offense.

It should be a good game as the Philadelphia Soul look to be one game over .500 and continue the push for the playoffs.
