As the Phillies are approaching the middle of spring training, the time is coming to an end for some. Todd Zolecki reports that the Philadelphia Phillies have sent nine players to the team’s minor league camp.
Pitchers Dave Bushm Austin Hyatt, B.J. Rosenberg and Pat Misch were all reassigninged to minor league camp, while the team optioned infielders Harold Garcia and Cesar Hernandez, outfielder Tyson Gillies, catcher Sebastian Valle and pitcher J.C. Ramirez.
As for today, the Phillies take on the Minnesota Twins in Grapefruit League action. Most of the regulars will be in the starting line-up, with the usual exceptions of Ryan Howard and Chase Utley. Roy Halladay will get the start.
