The Phillies were obvious sellers at this year’s trade deadline as they traded Papelbon, Hamels and Diekman earlier in the week. There were many rumors going around that Ben Revere would also be traded and those rumors came true Thursday afternoon. Revere was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays for minor league pitchers Jimmy Cordero and Alberto Tirado. Revere is hitting .298 on the season and has 24 stolen bases. Alberto Tirado was ranked the Blue Jay’s ninth best prospect as he has a lot of upside.
