Could Paul Pierce be teaming up with Michael Beasley of the Minnesota TimberWolves later on this month in an exhibition game in Beijing? According to the "Middle-East North Africa Financial Record" website, it appears that he is.
Clearly, the number one online source for Celtics news has become this random website. Kidding aside, if this is true, it's a bit interesting. I believe Beasley is also a Nike client, so perhaps it's part of some sort of promotional tour like the one Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony did for Team Jordan. Maybe we should try to find tape evidence of that supposed conference call and see if Pierce has actually agreed to this. He has said in the past that he would love to play in Europe once his NBA career is over, but China is not Europe and his career is not over. That is, unless this lockout lasts several years!
