The Pirates did not play a very good game to close out the Detroit side of the four game series as the Tigers pretty much dominated from start to finish.

Justin Upton was basically unstoppable during this game, which is why the Tigers gave him that mega contract and so far he’s living up to it. When the top two hitters of a lineup go 6-9 with two home runs, three RBI and six runs scored, the opponent is usually in trouble.

The Pirates looked to bounce back with Ryan Vogelsong making a spot start in place of an injured Francisco Liriano.

Game Three: Ryan Vogelsong vs. Shane Green
