- What went right:
- Jeff Locke had himself a pretty good outing by all accounts. He went seven innings, allowed three runs on four hits and struck out six.
- Gregory Polanco reached base four times as he went 2-3 with a home run, one RBI and a run scored.
- John Jaso hit his second home run in as many days. This tie a game-tying shot in the ninth inning.
- Gregory Polanco gunned out two runners at home plate.
- What went wrong:
- The defense was absolutely terrible as they committed four errors and just kept giving the Reds opportunites.
- Gregory Polanco misplayed two fairly catchable balls in the outfield that allowed the Reds to score runs.
- Tim Adleman was very good in his MLB debut. He went six innings, allowed two runs on three hits and struck out six.
- Arquimedes Caminero was bad again. He went one inning, and allowed one run on two hits.
