Result: Pirates lose 3-1

Winning Pitcher: Junior Guerra (7-2, 2.70ERA)

    • Steven Brault pitched fairly well as he went six innings, allowed three runs on seven hits and struck out three.
    • Starling Marte went 2-4.
    • Matt Joyce had a pinch-hit single and a run scored.
  • What went wrong:
    • Junior Guerra was a beast for the Brewers. He went 8.2 innings, allowed one run on four hits and struck out five.
    • Keon Broxton reached base three times. He went 1-2 with two walks and one RBI.
    • Chris Carter went 1-4 with a home run and two RBIs.
