Pittsburgh Pirates spend time looking at the skies, looking at art and celebrating their moms.
The Pirates have faced some stormy weather this week – between the rain out in Cincinnati and the baseballs as big as hailstones they were pelted with (five times!) during Wednesday’s game.
Jared Hughes gave fans a look at the literal stormy weather on Tuesday in this time-lapse on Twitter:

Hughes also had some fun when hosts of Intentional Talk did a segment with their faces-swapped:
…@KMillar15 and @ChrisRose look perfectly normal with their faces swapped. #Brothers@IntentionalTalk https://t.co/YLiV5PGkf7

In that same department, Gerrit Cole was sporting what he thought was a modern look on a recent outing to the Art Institute of Chicago. But, his outfit was also apparently tres chic clown attire in 1942 when American painter Walk Kuhn created this oil painting, Clown with Drum.

Speaking of look-alikes, Mark Melancon‘s son is a miniature version of the closer. Wonder what kind of velocity he has with that wiffle ball?

It sounds like a joke; an Italian-Venezuelan and a two Korean guys walk into a Vietnamese restaurant. But that’s exactly what happened when Francisco Cervelli, Jung-ho Kang and HK Kim hit up Pho Lang Thang in Cincinnati on Wednesday. I think it’s safe to say that Cervy’s thrilled to have his “Kanacho” back with the team.

Cincinnati is second baseman Josh Harrison‘s hometown, so a series there is always a fun time for him, his family and fans.

Mom,
It has taken me 20 years to realize, but I'm actually glad that you made me wear knee and wrist guards while inline skating.
