In our daily Wake-Up Call, we get you ready for the day with a complete look at all things Pittsburgh Pirates.
So what left fielder are the Pirates going to bring in today?
Pirates general manager Neal Huntington completed the trifecta on Thursday as he brought in an outfielder for the third consecutive day.
Tuesday he acquired Bryce Brentz from the Boston Red Sox. Wednesday he signed 2016 All-Star Michael Saunders and Thursday Huntington acquired his everyday left fielder when the Pirates acquired Corey Dickerson from the Tampa Rays for relief pitcher Daniel Hudson, minor-league infielder Tristan Gray and cash considerations.
Maybe even just as important, we went a full day without anyone bashing the organization, which is a small victory in itself.
Even the worst of Pirates haters shouldn’t have anything to complain about this trade.
The Dickerson move is a good one and if you are going to criticize the front office for moves they have made or didn’t made, you have to give them credit for making this move.
Notes
- Former Pirates outfielder Jose Tabata signed with the York Revolution of the Atlantic League, an independent league.
