We've gotten our grubby little hands on the NBA playoff schedule… I guess this qualifies as an exclusive (until the morning… but since its 1:30 am eastern… you folks out west get an early look)
Game 1 – Atlanta @ Boston: Sunday, April 20 8:30 PM (TNT) Game 2 – Atlanta @ Boston: Wednesday, April 23 8:00 pm (TNT) Game 3 – Boston @ Atlanta: Saturday, April 26 8:00 PM (ESPN) Game 4 – Boston @ Atlanta: Monday, April 28 8:00 pm (TNT) Game 5 (if needed) - Atlanta @ Boston: Wednesday, April 30 (TBD) Game 6 (if needed) – Boston @ Atlanta: Friday, May 2 (TBD) Game 7 (if needed) – Atlanta @ Boston: Sunday, May 4 (TBD)So on the off chance this goes 7 games… the series would stretch into the first week of May. The NBA is out of its mind. You almost didn't need to rest all of our guys at the end of the season because the playoffs drag on forever.
And what if the C's sweep and their next opponent wins in 7? They'll have to wait a week and a half for the next game 1. Ugh
Here's when the first games of the rest of the playoffs start:
Saturday, April 19 (all times Eastern):
Washington @ Cleveland: 12:30 pm (ESPN) Phoenix @ San Antonio: 3:00 pm (ABC) Dallas @ New Orleans: 7:00 pm (ESPN) Utah @ Houston: 9:30 pm (ESPN)Sunday April 20 (all times Eastern):
Toronto @ Orlando: 12:30 pm (TNT) Denver @ LA: 3:00 pm (ABC) Philadelphia @ Detroit: 6:00 pm (TNT)— update– I don't get to do this often… so let me toot our horn a little (I need this after the call-in show debacle). We even beat Celtics.com with this
