Last Thursday, former Lions nosetackle Shaun Rogers found himself in quite a bit of trouble, after reportedly trying to carry a handgun onto an airplane. Rogers, now a member of the Browns, was arraigned on Friday in Cleveland. Police reports issued yesterday, indicated that the ten year veteran’s weapon was not only loaded, but also cocked with a bullet in the chamber.
Rogers has apologized to his fans, claiming he simply “forgot” about the gun’s location.
What an obscure, 350 pound lineman would need with a loaded gun is beyond me. I doubt highly that many people have ever dared to pick a fight with the guy. My only guess would be that he’s been mistaken one too many times for Christopher Boykins.
