REACTION: Wow, a high percentage feel that Varitek will return to catch. If he does, I would expect him to sit a bit more often to integrate Josh Bard. Speaking of Bard, pretty pessimistic bunch of Sox fans that feel he will be the starter despite Theo’s admonitions they would be fine with Bard as a starter. Hear that, Theo? We’re not buying it.
The new poll is an important one because it involves Fire Brand. Since converting to the new layout, we have gone to an “excerpt” format on the front page so it is easier for readers to digest what articles there are on any given day. In season, there will be quite a few posts every day. I can easily envision a day where we have a: game recap, “article of the day,” quickpost (trivia, news, etc.), minor league roundup, game thread. That’s five articles a day.
QUESTION: Should Fire Brand continue using the “excerpt” format or should the front page consist of all articles in full?
