Popovich named Western Conference Coach of the Month

According to several sources, San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was named Western Conference Coach of the Month for November.

Any coach who leads his team to an 14-1 record in one month should be a no-brainer. But the interesting thing is how Pop has won.

The once defensive-dominant Spurs have transitioned into an offensive team and the scoring has come from several players in a balanced scoring attack.

The Spurs have also scored over 100 points in 11 of their 15 games this month, found a way to fight fire with fire against the Oklahoma City Thunder and had a season-high 124 points against the Rockets in early November.

Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers was named the Eastern Conference Coach of the Month.
