Post-apocalyptic Fenway Park Featured in Video Game

Wednesday, the popular video game “Fallout” released the trailer for its fourth installment, cleverly titled “Fallout 4”.

Now, I don’t know anything about video games, but I’m a sucker for those that take place in the “real world”…and that’s why this thing appealed to me.  From the USS Constitution to the Massachusetts State House to, even, a statue of Paul Revere…all the popular Boston landmarks are included.

But did you see what was at the 1:50 mark? That’s Fenway Park!

Sure, sure, it looks more like the Fenway of old, pre-the most recent upgrades, but, c’mon we’re talking about game that takes place in the future, more than 250 years after some sort of crazy nuclear war. Those folks can’t have the nice things we’re afforded nowadays.  But who knows, given the way the Red Sox have been playing…that might be an improvement.

The game is slated for release sometime this fall.
